Back in April, 6 friends and I experienced the “Rockstar lifestyle” when we spent a weekend at the Hard Rock Hotel in Costa Adeje, Tenerife.
We were greeted at the airport by one of the hotels own Jeeps for transfer to the hotel. Upon arrival we were swept through the reception to the Nirvana Tower – home to the “Rock Royalty Suites”.
Our rooms were spacious and kitted out with mod cons such as speaker docks and wet rooms. With our “Rock Royalty” upgrade we also had access to the lounge area where we enjoyed complimentary drinks and snacks throughout the day. The public areas were brimming with rock memorabilia – everything from Elton John’s show costumes to Bruce Springsteen’s harmonica.
On our first evening we dined at the “Montauk” Steak House – the food was delicious and the atmosphere refined yet relaxed.
After a great nights’ sleep and a wonderful buffet breakfast we settled down at one of the hotels three pools. With a relaxed beach club vibe it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a few mohitos! Although the hotel was full there were still plenty of sunbeds available and it didn’t feel crowded.
That evening saw the highlight of our trip – the monthly “Children of the 80’s” party. Dressed in our finest dayglo we headed to the open-air club for an evening of dance classics mixed by world famous DJ’s, with the back drop of the hotels famous light show – an incredible evening! The “Show” finished at midnight and we took ourselves to ‘The 16 th’ rooftop bar where the party continued.
The next morning we relaxed in the “Rock Spa” before catching our flight home. With numerous bars and restaurants, excellent children’s and teen facilities and its very own private beach, I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to “Rockstars” of all ages! I will definitely be visiting again!
